Pete Rugolo was such a talented arranger and conductor. He worked with Nat King Cole of course and did a wonderful all original Christmas songs album with June Christy, maybe the finest all original holiday album ever produced.

On another note, the original Fugitive staring the very popular David Janssen was the highest rated television episode in history, when the Fugitive finally caught the one armed killer of his wife on the very last episode. The last episode of Mash would break that record many years later. My aunt was a friend of David Janssen's and my parents got to hang with him at a few parties and they always said he was a great guy and very good-looking in person. In fact, I do believe that my mother had a little crush on him at the time even though she loved my dad dearly.

I preferred Shazam!'s sister show. Isis was also the only Saturday morning kid's show that my dad ever watched.

My first crush was Sky King's niece Penny... but the theme; after the "out of the blue of the western sky..." jazz, it wasn't so much a theme song but a commercial for Nabisco; who's logo had a tv antenna incorporated in it. I didn't see it then, or didn't care, but the company used the advent and early popularity of tv to sell it's products to a tv viewing audience, us kids on a Saturday morning, more fully and blatantly then any brand of it's day. And it worked... Oreos baby! The soap operas had nothin' on Sky King and Nabisco in that arena.

"Out of the blue of the western sky comes; sky, Sky King and his niece Penny brought to you by Nabisco... and the theme/commercial continued until the first black and white images transfixed us. Especially those of Penny.

The Ironside theme was a Quincy Jones composition.

Hockey Night in Canada theme which CBC stupidly let go because of the cost to use it.

    This is the extended version.

Loved the theme at the beginning of THE SWEENEY. It sorta HITS you after the short preview.
Loved intro music to BREAKING BAD. Quality not quantity.

I love the one you posted but I equally love the first season intro as well.
