Is this new album being discussed elsewhere?

First that I've heard about it. Looking forward to buying this on the day it's released.

He's been working on this for awhile. I'm guessing health issues have derailed it a bit. Last July I was giving out stickers promoting the new album at his show in Rochester, NY and there was talk of it being released in October of last year. Not long after that show, he cancelled quite a few. I'm looking forward to it, recorded in Muscle Shoals, produced by Don Was what's not to like.

    Looks like it has potential.

Funny. That "article" has less to say than the Facebook posts I've been receiving for several months now.

There doesn't seem yet to be a clear consensus on whether this is a disc of original music or
covers or a mixture of both.

Gregg's page now has an expected ship date of March 29th. :agree:

I'd be surprised if that's the release date, since there's no sign of it on Amazon or even on Rounder's website (plus release dates are Fridays now, not Wednesdays). Perhaps it will be a digital-only release at first.

Pretty sure I had my preorder (and prepay!) done before the first of the year. Now, if I could only find an SACD of 'Laid Back'.

Has anyone heard anything more about a release date for this?

There was a great photo in one of the British music mags of Gregg, the band and the
whole Muscle Shoals gang outside of the studio.....

Wow.....a duet with Jackson Browne! When will we get a track list, I wonder?

We got that 3 years ago at the All My Friends celebration. Both These Days, and Melissa.

If I am not mistaken that will be on Jackson's song "Song For Adam".

I think Scott Sharrard's (Gregg's solo band guitarist) song "Love Like Gasoline" is also going to be on the album. They played it a lot over the last couple of years of Gregg solo shows.

The rest I think are old soul covers in the vein of Muscle Shoals where they recorded it.

I'm not sure there are any Gregg originals on this album.
