I'm just listening through for the second time now. In the first song, the kid actually sings "...lands of ice and snow."

    Not even kidding.

Nothing. I've loved it for decades now.

The question is what made you play it the second time?

Decades ago where there was a 'land of ice in snow.' Now it's on the fast track to becoming an anachronism: There’s a heat wave. In the Arctic. In the middle of winter.

I'm four tracks into this album, and already I prefer it to any Zeppelin albums after Houses of The Holy. It's really good so far.

Halfway through the album. Nice but very-very-very predictable. And I don't hear any hits comparable to 'Highway Tune' or 'Safari Song'.

P.S. They start the album with mellotron intro actually!

I was going to say that I was expecting higher DR and RMS numbers than that based on my first listen through, but that's the MP3 numbers you've posted. I'm sure the CD, LP and FLAC numbers are better. I think this is a really good sounding album. Thick bottom end and lots of punch. A bit over-compressed but that's 2018 for you.

I listened on Spotify and really liked it. I don't really hear a Led Zep sound so much on this full-length as on the songs I heard from their previous EPs. To me, it reminded me of Rush for some reason -- and take that with a grain of salt, since I don't know them very well!

Incidentally, it looks like the vinyl and CD versions only have 10 tracks.

First listen of 'Age of Man'

While listening to the Mellotron intro, I thought 'wait a minute!, are they now doing a King Crimson'?!

But then I heard nothing truly memorable

Last week watched their entire set at ACL Fest on the Red Bull channel. They came off as a marketing firm's cynical attempt to repackage the '70s for youth consumption.

They are probably the least imaginative band I have ever heard.

The first and last songs are the best on the record for me.

I have no problem with them sounding like Zep. I'll forgive anything if the songs are strong enough, but the melodies and hooks here just don't stick in my brain. It's not a bad album, per se, it's just not all that great, either. I'd like to see them be a bit more adventurous in the future. And write some memorable hooks.

A band who could have easily went some weird tribute route hitting the local circuit had the smarts to rewrite the sound they wanted to play, name their band without some cute nod and become their own thing.
Dylan did it with Woody Guthrie.
    Rock on.

after a listen, i'm not really sure what to think. passively listening i could have sworn i was listening to houses of the holy era zeppelin with geddy lee singing with his best plant impersonation. at times i felt like i could laugh out loud but at other times i was feeling into it. after it was done i realized it'd be just as easy to make a playlist that mixes moving pictures, 2112, houses of the holy and physical graffiti.

also, the allmusic review is nothing if not funny:

I really am sad about this band. They've got talent, but few are willing to give them a chance because they have an unhealthy obsession with Led Zeppelin. The few that do listen should find that melodically they're not very similar.
