Finale preempted by preseason football for me in DC. Had no idea until I went to my DVR and nothing was there. Grrrrr.

 

They only cut off the first nine minutes for football here.

 

If they don't make any more, it can mean whatever you want it to mean.

 

Then why was she holding a weapon?

 

Just watched the finale. Wow....just wow! If this is indeed the end, it was awesome and fitting. If it's not the end, then I look forward to that too.

Gillian Anderson just keeps looking better and better...even with one leg!

 

Considering how upset she was with Will at their last meeting, I don't see how this could have been voluntary.

been "prepared" when the fight
occurred , and did not know
everyone was dead

I didn't see her hiding the knife or whatever it was when I watched the epidsode, I only saw that in the interview.

Amazing ending to an amazing series.

Assuming it's the end. But it seems like it'll take a miracle to bring it back at this point.

My jaw dropped seeing that at the very end...

Shows have been brought back years later anymore. I think they all have full plates right now.

 

Maybe they edited that out of the US broadcast? Trimmed the coda to fit in an extra commercial?

What I saw was her sitting at the table with three place settings and then the camera panning down to show her hiding a fork under her napkin, like she was about to attack whoever returned.

If she was just serving herself, the extra place setting make no sense, nor does the hiding the fork.

 

I thought that she was waiting for Hannibal and Will to come after taking care of the Red Dragon.

That was my thought too. Weird, I'd rather it had been left off.

 

I doubt she'd be expecting both of them together. She was afraid that Will would kill Hannibal.

 

Agreed. I didn't think the final shot added anything but confusion. I would have preferred that it ended with Hannibal and Will. The show was about them. It would have been more fitting to just end it there. Mixing in the final visual with Bedelia was a little distracting IMHO.

 

i think it was just to leave another door open for the future..albeit it is only open a small crack.

 

I thought it seemed gratuitous as well.

 

I thought it added a shock value...
