Watch an episode of The Gilmore Girls. I sometimes have to run from the room clutching my head.

Kudos to the both of you for saving for a vacation instead of financing it.

Don't have to make assumptions. You were pretty clear.

    I agree.

. . . and at least you're able to refer to it as our main room, which seems to come hard in some "relationships," if my readings here are any indication.

I like Definitive technology speakers, they just sound good.

That is a "definitive" YES! Those are a really beautiful pair of A7's! A7's are not terribly rare. But finding a pair in this pristine condition is extremely difficult to come across!

    BUY THEM IMMEDIATELY !!!

Cornwall's OUT! A7's IN! Model 19's, Just Say No! Neither the Cornwall's nor the 19's are it. A7's are the REAL DEAL! Trust me on that! I have owned a pair of model 19's, they are a nice kid brother to the A7's. Close but no cigar. BTW, I have three pair of A7's.

Not so. You just roll your A7's out to the front porch, turn up the volume and listen to your tunes, while you do your "Green Acres" thing. Really!

Remember at the beginning of the Twilight Zone, when Rod Sirling says; "You are about to enter another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land of imagination. Next stop, the Twilight Zone!

This could be your entrance into your personal Twilight Zone...

    . . . and you're pretty full of it.

Standing up for one's self does not entail oppressing someone else.

    Grow up.

Rather than be pissed off, My wife MADE me buy a pair of sonus faber olympica 3, a Cary audio sli-80 and a divealet phantom gold ( she put that last one in her home office...)

I’m madly in love with her.

I purchased an early Sony Discman D5A. I bought it circa 1986 or 1987. I only used it as a home CD player. At the time Sony portable products only carried a 30 day labor and 90 day parts warranty. After five months it wouldn't play and it went in the trash.

If I was successful posting a pic it is a picture of the speaker that made me start this thread. She wouldn’t pose next to the speaker. Poor sport.
    Fingers crossed

The trick is to have an SO that doesn’t even notice your equipment (audio preferably) and what you bring into the house. I just bought a Mcintosh mc402, c47 and mvp861. Wife didn’t even notice the change from my vintage Mcintosh stuff. When I upgraded from a pro-ject to a VPI, all she saw was a black turntable.

Wires does not matter how many what size or how long. They must not be seen. All my speaker runs had to go through the floor across the spaces below and up at the speaker locations. AC cords are hidden in whatever creative way I can find.

STBX doesn't like that I have so many earphones. Honestly there are only 7 pairs of which she is using 2 so I fail to see the problem.

Naim amplification. Sounds great initially and then when run in, woeful. And then I fell into the “I must need a power-supply?!?” trap. Kept chasing my tail. Supernait and a whirl with pre and powers.

Probably the Marantz UD7007 Blu-ray player. Was happy to sell it on a few months later and get the stellar Cambridge 752BD instead.

Laggy UI, okay performance, slow loading times and - for a £1000 player - average build that should've been way better for the money.
