My cat's name is Fred. It's after Freddie Mercury from Queen of course
But sometimes it looks like it was named after Alfred Einstein:D

20-something years ago: had a dog named Monroe, after the Father of Bluegrass Music, Bill Monroe.

I named my dog Bonnie the same day I found the Beatles 45 with PS "My Bonnie" at a yard sale for $5.00.

Ian--sorry to hear about Floyd. I'm sure he's still having fun where he is now and, even better, he is ageless and healthy forever now. It's hard losing a pet--especially one that you have had for many years.
