I seem to recall that Lenny and Squiggy were on Let's Make a Deal.
Squiggy won a summer sausage as a zonk prize and got called on to trade it in for a chance for the grand prize.
But of course, he chose to keep the sausage!

"He chose to keep the sausage" sounds like a euphemism for something. Hmm...

I was on a kids' quiz show called "Challenge" hosted by Anita Clever. in Philadelphia. I almost beat the kid who had been champion for six weeks but lost by one question!

My mother, however, was on several game shows. Way back in the 60s she was on a show called "Window Shopping" and was the grand prize winner. We won a ton of stuff: color tvs, washing machines, camping equipment, tandem bicycles -- a lot of expensive prizes. Then years later she was on a show called "Sale of the Century." She was the big winner again and won another slew of prizes. And then in the 70s she was a contestant on "Jeopardy." She didn't win but nearly did, losing by a hair. My mother was a pretty smart cookie.

Same here, a girl that went to my school on on Wheel Of Fortune and another girl that lived a few houses down from me won a Ford Escort on Price Is Right.

No, but I won $3 playing bingo at the drive-in between movies when I was about 7 years old.

I went to a taping of "Concentration" with Hugh Downs back in the late 60's at NBC in NYC, it was pretty cool at the time and (surprisingly) very loud (audience applause and cheering)...

I remember the episode when they were on The Dating Game. It was my favorite Laverne and Shirley episode.

So did I in early 1971. I was was 13.

It was at 30 Rockefeller studio 6A
Our class had a poster with our school name but there were no audience camera shots done during the taping ( no one knew)

Don Pardo was the announcer but I didn't know that at the time.

I was on It's Academic-a local quiz show for high schoolers in the DC area-back in the 70s. We won the first round but then the next week we matched up against a girls school and their contestants were all really cute. Naturally, I spent time chatting them up and not concentrating so we lost. Needless to say, my team was NOT happy with me. None of them talked to me for the rest of the year.

  12. I played the national video trivia game at a bar in Rosemount, MN.
I seemed to know every answer that night...which is not normal but I earned enough points to get the bar up to #1 in the nation on a Saturday night...does that count?

My wife was one of the friends of a contestant on an episode of Deal or No Deal. The camera operator must have liked her; she was in most of the shots. That was a good decision. :)

A few years ago, the clip was on YouTube, but the studio took it down recently. Otherwise, I would link it...

    Shalom, y'all!

I tried out for Jeopardy! and made it to the end, but they never called. It could've been I was too aggressive in the mock game-- I kept beating out an older lady on the buzzer, but I thought that was the point. I only saw one guy from our final group of 14 on TV, a neurologist who did a pretty fair Popeye impression
