HCFCs for cleaning records?

    Actually, the HCFC is at room temp inside the can (high pressure). Once it's no longer under pressure, and is exposed to air, it rapidly evaporates, but not immediately. Almost immediately, but not quite! It has a very slight ether-like scent too.

    Under humid conditions, the evaporating HCFC could cause nearby water to condense - probably onto your cleaning pad/rag/brush. It's inevitable (like a cold glass of water would). Just something else to keep an eye on. My basement is very very dry this time of year though, so I haven't experienced this to any significant degree.

    I think I'm better off just using it and not trying to figure it out! I guess I shouldn't quit my day job.;)
