Just picked me up a set of Hifiman Edition X along with a Simaudio NEO 230HAD to be nice to my neighbors in my new condo.

Figured we needed a new thread for 2016.

Koss KSC75. These are cheap, great sounding, and lively. Plus an old Aiwa HP-X301 over the ear headphone which is a pain to find ear cups for.:realmad:

Mad Dog Pro's here. Got the Mad Dog in 2013 and had them upgraded to the Pro last year. Absolutely love them!

I have Grado sr 80 and 125. Sennheiser 404, 570hd. I have and love Ampex 6aq5 amp from on old reel to reel, Roberts 6bm8 amp from reel, and my Bellari 12ax7 amp. The reel preamps each have separate l/r gain controls and have multiple headphonejacks.

Grado 325i, Senn HD580 (20 years old) and new Hifi man HE400i phones bought for $299 on Black Friday Sale.

Audioquest Dragonfly 1.0, 20 year old Headroom Little and ADL GT40 by Furutech amps

Best sound is Grado325i, GT40 and Pangea AG usb cable from I tunes on my Dell laptop. The 400i's sound wonderful but have no äir", the cymbals don't shimmer like on the Grados. Acoustic guitar strings have no decay. With the grado's you can tell if the strings are new or not, with the HIFI man's you can't. The HD580's are just worn out. The pads are old, the phones are now held together with super glue. I'd like to hear new HD600 or HD650's.

    Oppo PM-1 headphones.
Source is a Marantz KI Pearl Lite CD/SACD player.

The latest addition to the system is an Icon Audio HP-8 mk II valve amp which sounds stunning. Was previously using an SPL Phonitor mini, itself a very good solid state amp, but the Icon Audio has taken the sound through the Oppo's to a whole new level.

The only thing I have is a pair of Skullcandy HESH 2s (wired), I wish I could get the Grado Reference series headphones that were named the greatest headphones in the world in 2014, I believe.

headphone jack on Marantz SA8005 for digital or Yamaha DSP-A1 for vinyl... a vinyl rig with a built in headphone stage is on the want list for 2016.

At the moment, I have an LCD-X and an HD800. Amp is a Ragnarok. Honestly, I'm not 100% satisfied with either headphone and am scouting the HD800-S as a replacement for both.

After listening to a 2 channel system for years, I've found 112db Redline Monitor and/or Tonebooster's Isone VSTs so necessary no matter the brand of headphones.

Recently gave away my Sony MDRV-6 cans and upgraded to B&W P7s. I'm listening through headphones a lot more now.
