Lots of great suggestions in here. A little pressed for time right now, but one quick suggestion - if you like diSEMBOWELMENT you really need to check out the EP and full-length from Inverloch. Matt and Paul from diSEMBOWELMENT's new project that started life as d.USK, as a tribute to their old band. This year's Distance | Collapsed is great stuff.

 

Was spinning this album earlier this week and thought of this thread. I really dig Bosque... wicked, lo-fi doom from Portugal:

 

Spinning Habsyll right now. They're a pretty weird, abstract doom outfit from France. This is a killer album on the At War With False Noise label.

 

Anybody purchased the disc Ahab put out last year, The Boats of the 'Glen Carrig'? I'm tempted.

 

Does the latest Bell Witch stuff count as "doom" here? - it is pretty slow and bleak, with the added bonus of being on the mighty Profound Lore label- either way, it's great.

Having a listen to Bloody Panda's Summon right now. An apt title as it actually sounds like they are trying to summon something on this track... maybe Cthulhu!

The new Subrosa album is fantastic, and sound sublime on vinyl.

 

The Chasms album from funeral doom band Lycus is one bleak trudge. Massive, sloooow doom sweetened here and there by cello. One of this year's best IMO.

 

I just discovered Doom over the past 5 years or so (electric wizard, blood ceremony, pentagram). there's so much to learn - it's a deep and wide genre.
