Did any buy the recent Time-Life DVD collections? I think there are 5 DVDs released so far.

I was interested in the song titles that Buck Owens does on each DVD.

The one I bought features: Tammy Wynette, George Jones, Faron Young & Merle Haggard. There are 2 episodes, 100 minutes.

    Buck does:
    Who's Gonna Live Here
It Takes People Like You To Make People Like Me
Gonna Roll Out The Red Carpet
    Big In Vegas

    Please list Buck's tracks, thanks.

I saw the pilot episode DVD in Wall Mart and made a spontaneous purchase. Couldn't resist, as much as I would like to say I tried. :) My family used to watch this silly show when I was growing up, great memories.

Anyway, it's nicely done from what seems to be the original tape, shot way back in 1969. They even included the slate at the very start of this one. Deep colors, early RCA tube camera look (seems it was shot at the Nashville CBS affiliate at the time. I'm only guessing that they had RCA gear back then since it was the most common).

Never knew that Hee Haw was basically a country version of Laugh In. Not sure why I never put the two together!

Charley Pride (his first "nationally televised appearance", the box says) and Loretta Lynn were the musical guests on this episode, which also had the usual regulars like Buck, Ray, Junior, Lulu, etc. And those hot chicks, like "Ms. Hee Haw". Sigh. :)

    Fun goofy show.

Oh, the reason for your post. Ahem, almost forgot...it's late :)
    Buck does:
"Johnny B. Goode" and "Who's Gonna Mow Your Grass", along with
    Pickin' & Grinnin' of course.

For under $10 (free shipping/no tax) at deepdiscountdvd.com, I'll probably pick up what's available.
