Not yet Bob, but I'm working on it! I'm trying to put together an all-Warner Ides Of March comp.

    SW,

You have all of my support in doing so. Having grown up in Illinois - the Ides of March singles were very popular and I have fond memories associated with them.

    Thanks!

    Bob:)

Again: I am knocked out by the variety of great tunes here. Even though the classic rock station in question is a fairly mainstream one, on this "lost classics" show, the feature really lives up to it's name. If it's a good song, and if there is a chance that someone listening will say "holy crap, I can't believe they are playing THIS!" , they will play it on this feature. They have access to a vast library through the parent company's directory. I was floored when I saw what was available in this directory. Even live and studio bootleg versions are available. Even though most stations wouldn't play bootlegs, it's kind of neat to know that someone is really doing their job to stock the library that well. Thanks for the great ideas! All of these posts contain some good possibilities and I welcome more--as many as you want to send!

Beware indeed! That version is live from 2002. I haven't heard it.

Oh, here's a lost one for Bob:

Ed Bishop Incredibly, I'm still here

Minor Hot 100 hit in summer '72, but I do think it was a big Midwest hit; very upbeat, good record.

BTW, any luck on "L.A. Goodbye" yet?

So a single CD of Tusk with both the 45 version and LP version of Sara is perfect. I don't know why it hasn't been remastered since the current CD was mastered in the 1980s.

Of the Mac albums from the period, AFAIK, only RUMOURS was remastered; the rest, including FLEETWOOD MAC, TUSK and MIRAGE, remain as they were from the mid'80s, unless members can tell us otherwise. And if any minor tweaking had been done, nobody's been going around screaming about how great they sound. I think they're pretty good, but with room for improvement. The one plus of TUSK as is: the only place to get the 45 edit of "Sara" on CD. Lp version everywhere else I have it.

Fleetwood Mac, Rumours & Tusk are all scheduled to be remastered/reissued this year with Rumours & Tusk to be expanded to double discs (like Rhino's Costello series, I believe.)

Anyway, we're a bit off topic here so I'll throw in

Never Been Any Reason - Head East!

    Harden My Heart - Quarterflash
    99 - Toto

    And I have to add

The Captain Of Her Heart - Double
Into The Night - Benny Mardones

Draw of The Cards by Kim Carnes is overlooked on radio these days and in fact, save for Bette Davis Eyes, most of her hits are overlooked, but the good news is that all of her major EMI America albums are in print in this manor: St. Vincent's Court and Romance Dance are twofered on Raven, Mistaken Identity is in print on Razor & Tie (I have the EMI CD of this album) and Voyeur, Cafe Racers, and Barking At Airplanes are all on One Way.
