As a guy who listens to a good amount of new material, I must admit the music I chase most is the "oldies." Actually, the oldies REQUIRE more chasing because some of the ones I try to get are hopelessly obscure. But I now have just about all the songs I liked that actually were hits. Once in a while though, I come across a popular record that I knew when it charted but totally forgot about. Doesn't happen often, but I just heard a record I truly liked back in the 60's but hadn't come to mind in decades. The record is "It's Cold Outside" by the Choir. It charted on Billboard's Hot 100 for 6 weeks in 1967. It's a bit garage-y, a bit Beatlesque, and very tuneful (and now available on Eric's Teen Time, Vol 2). So, have you heard a recording in the last year or so that you used to know but made you perk up and think, "Wow, how did I forget about that great song"?
