I'm looking to create a playlist of songs that have a dirty, bluesy, country vibe. Two examples of songs that I have in mind are "Honky Tonk Women" by the Rolling Stones and "Roadhouse Blues" by The Doors. To me, these two songs have a great sound and evoke a great image, and I'd like to carry it on. With these two songs in mind, can you think of others in a very similar vein/style/sound that would add to my list? Preferably '60s/'70s stuff. Thanks.

How about some Lucille Bogan from the 30s!?!?

You think the Stones may have heard this?

You really think an Otis Redding song is Honky Tonk?

Well, I did NOT recommend “Dock Of the Bay”, did I ?

However, I thought The Black Crowes’ version has a sufficiently “bluesy vibe”, having stylistic similarities with the OP’s.

    (This is not Pandora...!)

    YMMV, I guess...

If you're willing to stretch into the 90s, Dwight Yoakam is a great way to go:

Honkey Blues- Sir Douglas a/k/a Doug Sahm while in exile in San Francisco after getting busted for pot in Texas. Recorded during the 'flower power' era, but an interestingly weird chunk of music. Not terribly expensive for an original pressing.

I'll also thrown down Lonnie Mack's "Stop" (not to be confused with the song Joe Bonamassa covered) from the album Strike Like Lightning. Lot's of Roy Buchanan stuff may fit the bill, too. The first little feat album, "Truck Stop Girl" is 18 wheels of Lowell, Roy Estrada, billy payne and and Richie Hayward. Dixie Chicken also has some bluesy stuff, as does Sailin' Shoes (all the Lowell era stuff is worth listening to). This is road music.

    A few that come to mind immediately would be;

1.Elvis Reconsider Baby. From his return from the army LP Elvis is Back! Here The King gets down right raunchy & dirty. With help from sax great Boots Randolph this is greatest
piece of white boy blues ever.Period.

2.Allman Bros Trouble No More is the finest cover of this Muddy Waters standard.

3.The Robins Riot in Cell Block #9 is a piece of early RocknRoll raunch.

4.Commander Cody(Live) Riot in Cell Block #9 is a 1973 cover of the aforementioned song recorded at the famed Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin TX. amid a wild rowdy group of admirers.

5.ZZTOP before Tres Hombres and La Grange they were that little ol' band from Texas. On their 2nd album they released a pure piece of hard rockin blues nastiness with the tune Whiskey Mama.

6.ZZTOP after 1973's Tres Hombres the Top released Fandango in 1975.This album opens with another Texas barn burner"Nasty Dogs&Funky Kings".Early TOP is essential.

7.Stones did a magnificent cover of Robert Johnsons Stop Breakin Down on their EOMS album.Another Stones tune you shouldn't be without.

8.Los Lobos Don't Worry Baby was the bands answer to Led Zeppelin Whole Lotta Love.Probably the best band from the 1980s finest and hardest rocking song.
