For me it’s The Babadook. I’ve read and heard that it’s excellent, but I’m just too chicken****! [IMG]

None. If I have not seen them they either look a) lame or b) I have not gotten around it.

None for being too scary, but I’ll avoid stuff that looks too violent/gory. Sometimes it’s done just for shock.

Supernatural stories aren’t at all frightening to me . The scariest movie I’ve seen is Deliverance. Nothing more terrifying than psychotic hillbillies, and since my childhood took place in a backwoods area it wasn’t all that implausible a premise. Still, I’ve watched it several times.

No such beast. There are some I have no interest in watching but that’s not because I am too scared...just don’t care about it.

  7. Nope. If a movie is sold as being uniquely terrifying, or so grotesque that the morals of anyone who would watch it are impugned, I take it as a dare.

Painful to live in fear, isn’t it? Nothing is worse than an itch you can’t scratch!

I’d agree. Even though I’m always aware that “these are just movies”, I found Martyrs disturbing enough that I never want to see it again. I’ve seen Cannibal Holocaust and Salo several times and don’t care, but Martyrs was hard to watch and disturbing as hell.

Burt made the move, but due to a bad accident, Voight had to take over. Burt aka “Lewis” never “wussed” out; he just became incapacitated leaving the the reticent “Ed” character to have to take over.

Great movie which I’ve seen probably five times and fairly recently in fact.
