The most beautiful face of our time, Jennifer Connelly, in the best sci-fi of the 90's, "Dark City." What's so compelling about her in the film is the way that her beauty seems out of time and timeless, and as such contributes to the disorienting mood of the film. (I'm pretty sure Roger Ebert pointed this out in his commentary track; I don't want to try to take credit for the insight when it isn't mine.) Also, though this isn't sci-fi, anyone who likes her should see "Pollock." She is astonishingly gorgeous in that film, dark-haired and both innocent and ominous at the same time. There are many, many beautiful women in the world, but none who can create such a mood as she.

 

Not sure if this is in the spirit of the thread since she doesn't wear any ridiculous get-ups, but Emily Rose's Haven IS on the SyFy Channel, so...
