Hotel (1983 TV Series question)

I have a question: Does anyone remember if this ABC Primetime Soap from the 1980's was a serial with a continuing story (i.e. Dynasty, Dallas, Falcon Crest, and Knots Landing), or was each episode self-contained?

 

I was young at the time, but I used to watch it. I believe it was just a show each week.

 

I think it was more of an anthology, like Fantasy Island or Love Boat, with different guest stars each week. The regular characters (James Brolin, Connie Selleca, Shari Belafote, etc.) might have had plots that continued from week-to-week though.
