Not much “there” there.

 

Would there even be any? A few of those tunes seem like they were there to fill out a LP, I doubt anything unreleased would be decent, but that's my opinion. There's only about a side's worth total to my liking.

By the way, wasn't the old joke that they spent 6 months alone working on Hotel California? So, no unreleased tracks does not surprise me.

 

They couldn't give us the entire concert?? And no video of it to boot? But they didn't leave out the fluff, posters, etc..

I guess when The Long Run comes around we won't get the studio promo videos with that. It is weird no live video, if you don't release it now - then when?

Having official live versions of James Dean, Witchy Woman, Good Day in Hell and Already Gone will be nice. But yeah, I was hoping for more.

 

There have never been any outtakes of any Eagles stuff ever, right?
They're one of a relatively small list of artists that have released nothing beyond the released albums.
No demos, alt takes, unreleased, work in progress stuff, nada.
Same goes for:
Tom Waits
Joni Mitchell
James Taylor
Paul Simon
just off the top of my head...

 

One or 2 alt takes/demos appeared on the later CD versions of Paul Simon's Graceland.

Also the Joni Mitchell Geffen box set has 3 bonus tracks.

But I know what you mean, there's very little from these artists.

 

Paul Simon has released many demos and outtakes starting with his 1993 box set and onwards.

While this seems like a awesome set, $100? Seriously? 2 CD's and one Blu-Ray. They could have at least added the concert to the Blu-Ray. I personally could care less about the book and inserts. I mean, I usually look at the book one time when I open it and never look at it again.

I have the DVD-A and find it sounds really good. Reviews will interesting on this one.

Yea...you're totally off base, regarding Paul Simo, from debut album to Capeman, the reissues contained a total of 32 bonus tracks, consisting of demos, alt takes, unreleased, work in progress, etc.

 

This would be tempting, maybe, at $20.

It's a joke at $100.

Irving Azoff and dba Eagles have the release rights locked down tighter than a steel drum, so it's no surprise this is insultingly lame. But it IS insultingly lame.

Based on the content of this set (or lack thereof), It's apparent that it's yet another money grab for the Eagles' members. In other words- RIPOFF!

 

from everything i have ever read, there is literally nothing in the vaults by the eagles.

however, 'get you in the mood" the b-side of 'take it easy" has never been available on CD anywhere in the world. but that would not fit on this at all.

$20 to buy it or $20 for me to have to listen to it? If it's the latter, I'd consider it. Maybe.
