That's hilarious! :) I'm sure there are several songs that I used to misunderstand as a kid and thought they were saying something Star Wars related, too.... I'll post them here if I can think of them!

I just heard a great one on a radio talk show:

ARTIST: The Red Hot Chili Peppers
    SONG: Under The Bridge

    Misheard Lyrics:

    Under the Mistletoe
Is there I drew some blood.
    Under the Mistletoe
    I could not get enough

    Real lyrics:

    Under the bridge downtown
Is there I drew some blood.
    Under the bridge downtown
    I could not get enough

Until 10 minutes ago, I thought the third verse of "Smoke on the Water" started

"We all set up at the Grand Hotel,
It was empty, cold as Hell,
And with The Rolling f**king Stones playing just outside,
Well, they made our music seem bad."

Earlier in the song, I thought they were makin' records with a-Motown.

Busker in Glasgow today playing "Losing My Religion" reminded me of this one which I always thought were the real lyrics:
"Oh life, it's bigger, it's bigger than you
    And you are knock-kneed."

The one I always recall is from "Johnny Come Home" by Fine Young Cannibals. "Pixie delight is not what they say."

I used to think Michael Jackson's "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough" mentioned something about the post office in the chorus...
And what on Earth is Breton Wood singing at the end of the Oogum Boogum Song? "Who got the boot sets?" Has this ever been established?

    I always thought it was:
"Keep on with the bus stop,
Don't stop 'til you get enough".

A lot of post-HOTH stuff from Zeppelin...I still question some of the supposed "real" lyrics

    Stevie Wonder "Power Flower"

    I heard

"He's a flower of power, technicolor flowers"

hahaha.... I like it when this topic comes up. When I was young, these were culprits and I still hear them this way .....

I'm Sorry (Brenda Lee).. second verse...
"You tell me, mistakes, are part of being egg-nog"

    Venus (Frankie Avalon)
"Venus if you do, I promise that I'll wiggle and be true"

    She's A Woman (Beatles)
She don't get boisey-eyed (I always picture a potato with a face or something)

    Albert Flasher (Guess Who)
"he was a werkshaboner" ......... didn't make sense to me either but there was no internet in those days to look it up

I agree with others about Drift Away and the "beach boys" line. I also thought "get it on" is the line in Long Cool Woman... guess I'll have to read up on that one some more.
