    It's the 50th Anniversary coming up soon, how do you think/hope Apple will react to this?

    Tell us your wishes, but as far as the poll is concerned, what do you predict Apple will do (rather than what you hope they will do!).

    I can't even begin to predict this. I'd love to see Apple really shock us with something special, and maybe they will, but I can't help thinking it will pass with something completely uninteresting, or nothing at all.

    Ideally, I'd love to see something resembling Dylan's Cutting Edge set, or The Beach Boys Pet Sounds Sessions, but I don't hold out much hope!

    I'll predict nothing so then the only way is up. I think they'd be foolish not to do something. Pet Sounds Sessions was a benchmark.

    Wouldn't it be cool if Paul and Ringo hijacked the Wondermints and toured Pepper? No? I dunno nowadays.

    Since it's Universal they'll do a coloured vinyl stereo and a seperate mono put a big sticker on the cover and charge 3 times what's it's worth.

    Other, with a pinch of Nothing. The 50th anniversary of a rock album (unlike grandma and grandpa's happy marriage) doesn't signify anything at all besides the passing of, you know, time.

    Besides, the perfect AAA vinyl reissue gave me everything I need commemoration-wise.

    :shrug:Another Mono/stereo vinyl 180 gram release, QP pressed, the catch will be a new highly waited stereo mix of the vinyl and cd release, iTunes. Some over priced box set. Love the pepper but 50 probably will be another cash grab.

    Love it all but enough is enough.

    The 50th anniversary of the Ed Sullivan shows from a few years ago was "celebrated" with a TV special, and it did pretty well ratings-wise. So I think that Apple will cobble together the usual suspects (Whoopi, Elvis Costello, Johnny Depp, etc.), plus some new interviews with Paul and Ringo, and make a hour-long travesty TV show.
