Does anyone know how many discs were pressed as the special first pressing of the new SACD Stones CDS? If so, how many have been sold?

I'm also trying to put together a "40 More Licks" comp, similar to 40 Licks (heavy on singles) and "More Hot ROcks" (some rarities) - any ideas?

OK, I'll try, since I already put together a CD-R called "Elvis Presley: 30
    True #1 Hits ....

    FORTY MORE LICKS
    Disc 1: London/ABKCO Years

    Come On
    I Wanna Be Your Man
Tell Me (You're Coming Back) (original single version)
Time Is On My Side (single version)
    Little Red Rooster
    Play with Fire
The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man (single version)
    I'm Free
    As Tears Go By
    Lady Jane
Out of Time (Aftermath version, not the '75 single)
    Sittin' on a Fence
    We Love You
    Dandelion
    2000 Light Years from Home
    In Another Land
    No Expectations
    Let It Bleed
    Midnight Rambler (Ya-Ya's version)
    I Don't Know Why

Disc 2: RSR/Virgin Years -- of course, these won't all fit on one disc :)

    Sister Morphine
Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)
    Ain't Too Proud to Beg
    Time Waits for No One
    Hot Stuff
    Before They Make Me Run
    Far Away Eyes
    She's So Cold
    Waiting on a Friend
    Hang Fire
    Going to a Go-Go
    She Was Hot
    Harlem Shuffle
    One Hit (to the Body)
    Rock and a Hard Place
    Almost Hear You Sigh
    Highwire
    Out of Tears
    Saint of Me
    Like a Rolling Stone

On Disc 1, only tracks 11, 12, 18 and 19 were not the A or B side of a US or UK single. Every track on Disc 2 except Track 1 was issued as either a regular or promotional single. You could replace that track with "Bitch" (B-side of "Brown Sugar") and every song would be from a single of some kind.

I love this idea, hope you guys don't mind if I steal it! Might even had to do 40 separate licks for both the London and Atlantic/Virgin years!

P.S. Tim: It's one of my personal favorites, but I don't remember "Time Waits for No One" being on a single? I do know the Stones liked it enough to use it for the title of a late-70s UK compilation LP! The closest thing to a Stones "guitar epic" featuring Mick Taylor!

It was on a promo-only 45 (Rolling Stones PR 228) and even had a picture sleeve. It was issued in late January 1975, right around the time Mick Taylor left the band. Here's a link to some rather poor images of this promo and (perhaps) the story behind it: http://www.micktaylor.com/time.html

    !

    Great list Tim!

When I made my suggestion, I had about 3/4 of my "Forty More Licks" completed. Much of mine matches yours! As soon as I can steel of few minutes, I'll finish my wish list.
