How many turntables do you have? Seems I have 13; 4 acoustic & 9 electric machines. Way too many!

I don't really want or need so many but it seems I have a bunch. I never actually went through the house and counted them before. I was actually surprised I had so many..

My VPI Classic Two and a pair of Audio Note turntables (one with a MM and one with a MC) are in my listening room, courtesy of VPI and Audio Note UK, a Music Hall MMF 7 (for 7" 45's) that Jeff Dorgay gave me (with a Shure V15 in it), and Technics 1200 with KAB mod for playing 78's are in my little studio.

Two old Thorens (TD-124 and TD-160) are hooked up in my vintage system and my restored Vinyl Nirvana Thorens with Ortofon Black is in the living room.

I have one of those little RCA-Victor "45 RPM Only" Bakelite machines from 1949 in the dining room.

My small acoustic machine collection, all hand-crankers: A pair of hundred year old Victrolas and a 1925 Brunswick Panatrope plus a 1926 Victor Orthophonic in the hall.

If course if one counts my two 1903 Edison machines, that's 15..

Never realized I had so many darn machines. At least they all work well.

What about you? I know some of you have more than one machine, perhaps you don't want to play your beat up old 45's on a $2,000.00 cartridge or you just like turntables? Let us know.

    Victrola 78rpm windup

The damaged AT was given to me last year. Didn't take much to get it up and running like new. The Vestax I use for occasional needledrops, including 78s and the Linn is used in my office when I'm in there.

I have 2 : a Pro-Ject Debut and an early 80s Technics (an SL-Q2) that my dad gifted me after he did an upgrade.

I like the Pro-Ject but I'm seriously considering going back to the Technics. It's not the highest-level TT but it is good.

Embarrassed to say I don't remember! I'll have to check!!!

The Technics is an SL-Q2 but I'll need to check the cartridge.

One! A 1980's Revolver - made in Warrington - and happy with it, based on budget (would love to know what more money would get me in sound quality, but it'd still be MY vinyl being played on it)

Zero. My parents gave away my Kenwood 70s stereo system when I left for college. To be fair, though, it did belong to them originally.

    Four:
Studio: Rega RP6 with groovetracer upgrades (Reference Subplatter, GT Delrin Platter, Rega Tungsten counterweight, Rega White Belt) - Ortofon 2M Black (with Bronze styli for older pressings)
    Rega P1 - Ortofon 2M Blue
Elac Miracord 50 H II - dedicated for 78s - Shure M78S) (on encouragement from the host himself!)
Bedroom: Pioneer PL400 (my late sister's table) - Shure V15 Type IV, Ortofon 2M red

I do love tables but don't have the room for them. ONE day I will also have some acoustic machines too. Same problem: no space :)

Have always wanted to try a VPI table and wonder how people around here feel about the Prime?

    I have six.

Technics SL1200-MK2 fit with a Shure V15 Type V bought in the late 2000's right before Technics stopped making them.
A vintage, recently restored Dual 1229 fit with a Shure M97xE. If I want to play 78s on this table, I swap the cart out for the Shure N78S. (Yes, I like Shure.)
Two crank Victrolas - one is a lidless table top model with the internal horn (VV-IV) and a classic upright (VV-XIV) with record storage in the bottom of the cabinet. Both work extremely well, restored a few years ago.
A late 50's Webcor mono which doesn't work so well, the rubber wheel that drives the table is really hard and the speed is very inconsistent. The tube amp sounds great, though. The changing mechanism is totally shot, even after a trip to the shop.
A bakelite RCA Victor 45 player that doesn't work at all. It used to work, but now it just hums loudly and starts to smell like it's burning after being plugged in for ten minutes.

    I have 6.

My main listening turntable is a Technics SL-1650, in my avatar with an Ortofon Rondo Red Cart
My backup turntable is a Technics SL-3350...its sitting downstairs not connected to anything.

I have two pairs of Technics 1200s for practicing DJing. I dont need two, but I won one set in a contest, and I couldnt bring myself to get rid of the set I bought before that. Good thing I didnt.

If you have room for them then what better to have than turntables? I currently own 4 but only use two.

I use a Technics SL-2000 and the Dansette Major Deluxe pictured in my avatar.

The ones I'm not currently using are a JVC jl-A20 and a Garrard AP76.

I've never been able to afford a real top notch turntable but I really like what I'm using.
