    Hi

I need advice for using my PMC 23 for my Home Theatre system.

    Currently I have following devices.

    PMC 23
Marantz Stereo Integrated Amp PM 14 S 1
    Marantz CD Player KI Pearl

I need to buy suitable AV receiver which will enable me to use my PMC 23 as fronts

I need to buy matching Centre speaker and Surround speakers

    I also have Apple TV

    Regards

    Rajeev

From looking at the PM14S1 manual....you would need to get an AVR that has front L/R pre-outs and then connect these to the Marantz using the Power Amp Direct In jacks on the back.

Then, when you want to use the AVR, you select the P. Direct In, hold it for 3 seconds and the Marantz will accept the inputs from the AVR.

Did you have a budget in mind for the AVR?

    Dear Erik

Thanks for your revert, Budget for AVR is US$ 1200 to US$ 1500

Please advise on speakers as well as Player , Can I use any good quality media player for Movies instead of DVD or Blue ray player
I have few DVD's which I can reap and use in digital format.

OP I sent you a PM re an Anthem MRX510 I am no longer using. I think the Anthem MRX is the best AVR out there dollar for dollar. Easily the best AVR I've ever used.

    That Marantz is a beauty!

Hope that's not out of line as it was technically not a WTB thread. If so I apologize and disregard.

Why not stay with the Marantz line for the AVR? Some are well reviewed and probably a better match since it sounds like you'll be using the AVR to drive the center and surround speakers.

I am not familiar with the PMC speakers you have, but from their webpage they offer quite a line of speakers, including centers and thin 'wafer' style, which may be the best sonic match for the 23's you have now. The center especially should be a sonic match to the main fronts, the surrounds less so, but in a perfect world you'd want them to sound the 'same' as the rest.

    You didn't mention a subwoofer.

    Dear Erik

Thanks for your suggestion I am looking for Marantz AVR but I guess in India they have some issues on distribution and service and stock is also not available.
I have zeroed down on PMC 20 Centre as this was best suitable combination.

Yes Subwoofer is an open area. Certainly looking for upgrading my Subwoofer please give me some recommendation.

Blue ray player is another open question. Need advice on the same as well.

    regards
    Rajeev
