I took advantage of half.com's Memorial Day sale where you got up to $25 off shipping if you spent $10. I tried to divide up my order in two to get maximize my savings, but I messed up a little and paid a couple of dollars shipping on one order, and went under the $25 limit on the other.
Here's what I got (shipping allocated pro rata at 22¢ each to the cd's from the order that I paid shipping on). $19.46 for 17 cd's. Lots of *bluegrass, **folk and ***instrumental pop. Only two rock cd's. Here they are

I also got Van Morrison's double dvd, Live at Montreux 1980 & 1974 for $6 with free shipping. I have an audio rip of this set and I really like it. So I ordered it even though I usually find concert dvd's boring.
I also took advantage of gohasting.com's Memorial Day sale where you got 30% off plus 96¢ shipping. I ordered the Zombies dvd, Live at the Bloomsbury Theatre, London for $3.23 , including shipping.

Those Rhino British Invasion cd's can be hard to find. Where'd you get 'em?
Found 'em (plus v.1 & 2, which I already had and so left for another lucky soul) at Turn It Up in Northampton, MA
i wandered back into the same store in Dearborn that I posted about yesterday and picked up the following (not sure if these actually qualify as they were not priced and were not in the used bins yet - Fresh Pickins'!)

Weird antique collectibles show over my lunch break... Everything I got was in nice shape and reasonably priced, had to leave behind a couple Brian Wilson related imports.
Shadows of Knight Gloria Dunwich mono LP
Strawberry Alarm Clock Wake Up It's Tomorrow UNI LP
Yardbirds Roger the Engineer 70s UK press
Pink Floyd Animals Columbia US LP
Jimi Hendrix Are Your Experienced US 2lp
I found the early Victor/Japan pressing of Stevie Wonder's Talking Book with a smooth edged jewel case. First time I played it, it skipped on "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life", but a minor cleaning did the trick. Plays great.
In my non-ending quest for early, clean mastered cd's I found today.....
Van Halen - First WB 3075-2 (US) excellent cond. $2.99
Black Sabbath - Paranoid WB 3104-2 (US) ex. cond. $4.99
Black Sabbath - Master of Reality WB 2562 (Canadian) ex. cond. $5.99
Sheeesh ! I just can't get over how much better these B.S.'s sound compared to my 2009 remasters. I mean those are good, but these old ones kick their tail, IMO. I had these years ago...and just plain forget.
Onto my older WB Van Halen....
Some CDs wot I got for $1 each today at a yard sale:
Jennifer Warnes - Famous Blue Raincoat -- original issue on Cypress Records
Nilsson - Schmilsson -- given up finding a nice copy on vinyl. This has extra tracks.
Supertramp - Crime Of The Century -- not sure how good this is, the CD says "Made In Japan" and has "Audio Master Plus Series" on the back.
Harry Belafonte - Live At Carnegie Hall -- ditto about the mastering. The discs say "Made In Germany" but the cover is all blue rather than the lovely black RCA Living Stereo cover of my vinyl copy.
Rush - Moving Pictures -- MFSL CD, which is nice, but I already have this one.
Gillian Welch - Time (The Revelator) -- been on my Amazon want list for a while, I like the first and last tracks but not much in-between.
Rebecca Pidgeon - Four Marys -- it's on the Chesky label, which is usually an indicator that sound quality is more important than the music. This one looks like kinda traditional folk stuff, though it could be dodgy as I find her voice a bit nasally at times.
Nat King Cole Trio - The Complete After Midnight Sessions -- I got the SACD recently, not sure why I got this other than it's all in mono. I can't remember if the SACD also includes a mono mix. Maybe it does and I've blown $1.
Jimmy Smith - Dot Com Blues -- I love my Jimmy Smith CDs on Blue Note, but this is a modern recording with vocals. Could be dodgy ...
Oscar Peterson - Tracks -- solo piano album. Good? Bad? Only one way to find out ...
Duke Ellington - Blues In Orbit -- don't know much about this ...
Duke Ellington / Ray Brown - This One's For Blanton -- ... or this ...
Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong - Porgy & Bess -- ... or this (though I do love my other Ella & Louis CDs, so hopefully this one's good).
I'm actually packing all my vinyl and CDs into boxes this weekend to ship back to Australia, but I couldn't resist grabbing some more toons at that price, even if some of them turn out to be bollocks.

Great albums, let me know how you like them
Somebody told me about some record sellers at Booth's Corner farmer's market in Boothwyn Pa.
so I checked them out and got the following all for $12.
These are all priced at $5.00 ea. and it was a 1/2 off sale:

John Lennon - Mind Games on Apple, this guy had a green label Capitol copy stickered at $15, go figure.
Moby Grape - WOW (he had Grape Jam for $15) super clean 1A/1A copy
Some kid was in his store selling albums which the dealer wasn't interested in since we was asking too a price for his albums ($2.00 ea.). I guess this guy was willing to give him a buck each. The guy took me to his car and I got the following for $2.00 each:

Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run 1A/1A copy with corrected "produced by" sticker on back cover.

The used classifieds on various forums has taken the hesitation away for me to try different artists - and if I don't like them - I can hold them or sell them.
* Elvin Bishop: Extended Versions (live) - keeper!
* Boz Scaggs (2cd best of) - keeper!
* Joni Mitchell: Court & Spark - keeper!
I've found that I'm not a Leon Redbone fan, and the Derek Trucks cd is not what I thought it would be - nor the Ry Cooder - but hey - it's all good!
