And it's a UK pressing. I'm assuming it's Region B and not compatible with my old Oppo. But it doesn't say anything about it's region on the cover. Are any releases region free?

Some studios don't bother with region coding. I did a quick check over at blu-ray.com and it shows that an early UK pressing was region free, but they don't know about later UK editions.

Yup we posted at the same time. Blu-ray.com is a great site and a good forum (though their moderators are kind of right wingers).

Only discussion of interlaced scanning is permitted on Blu-Ray.com. Progressive scan is - well, you know...

It only means you can't discuss the making of some movies, or discuss some actors or directors or producers, or some industry news. Aside from that it is a great place for info.

  9. Yes. A lot of Universal releases are region free, some Arrow.
