Yes.If you can find a mono copy of The Miracles Greatest Hits-The Begginings I strongly suggest it.It is 2LP 22 song compilation of The Miracles early work 1959-1965.Absolutely marvelous to hear.
Other revelations are the Aretha&Cream albums.

I don't think the mono version of Forever Changes (fold down or not) offers any great revelations. I was disappointed when I finally tracked down an original. Same with the Doors debut.

I agree about S&G's Bookends however. The mono is terrific.

    wasn't cheap to get one

Cannonball Adderley Quintet in mono is reference quality
    Coltrane, Chambers

That's one I have to disagree with, as it was recorded and mixed specifically to take advantage of stereo's sound field. The mono mix, while an individual might like it, goes against the artist's intentions of how you were meant be hearing it.

I just got the mono Sundazed of the Blues Projects Projections and the mono is a bit sharper, but not the revelation I was hoping for. The Stones Satanic Majesties mono is also a nice contrast as does the first Moby Grape album.

Otis Redding's Otis Blue: Otis Redding Sings Soul sounds much better in mono to me.

All monos, including Blue Notes, seem to be more desirable due to their more coherent imaging. Van Gelder tended to do a lot of extreme left/right with his recording. I have John Coltrane/Johnny Hartman on many pressings, including an original mono Impulse (I paid $80 for it over 10 years ago). It's very good, but the killer pressing is the stereo ORG 45rpm.

I haven't heard A Love Supreme in mono. I do have the Speakers Corner stereo and it's great. What a piece of music!!! It's mesmerizing and powerful!

I paid $160 for an absolutely pristine copy of ALS in mono - worth every penny
I have the stereo recent 33 1/3 and 45 versions which are wonderful too
the left right panning vs center image is interesting and vacillate between which I am in the mood for.

The Canonball Adderley was a find and $20 so it balances out

Santana uses A Love Supreme to disinfect any room he is staying at

check out Chasing Trane on Netflix now!
    killer stuff!

Whilst my needledrop is from the DCC mono, using a Troika stereo cartridge, it's sound fantastic. In fact instrument placement means my friends don't believe it's mono.

All the rest of the Beatles albums that are in mono. I'm not saying they're always better because they're not, but that doesn't mean they're not worth hearing.

Sly and the Family Stone's Greatest Hits (and don't stop there: listen to it in quad). (Probably the early albums too, but I haven't heard them in mono.)

Three Dog Night, at least their hits. (Same disclaimer as above)

The first two Jimi Hendrix Experience albums.

Haven't heard that in mono, but I do love the quad mix, especially the minute-longer 'Take Another Piece of My Heart.
