Identify this weird cartoon from the 50's possibly

    I remember seeing this on TV a few times back in the 70's. A cartoon short, possibly Tex Avery, when this character is walking down the street and get into a fight with something sticking out of the ground on a front lawn. It was something like an old tire or something. In the end he prevails when he pulls the whole thing out of the ground and it turns out to be a huge pile of trash.

    I don't think I have seen this one since the 70s or early 80s. Anyone remember this one?

    I'm still trying to figure out how a donky (burro?) is living in suburbia - and why, if he's contributing to the war effort Rubber Drive, howcum he's not setting a better example for the audience by enlisting...? :shrug:

    I was about to devote an hour of wasting time to finding it ... but the solution arrived! So I was glad I didn't waste that hour. What a WEIRD cartoon.
