Talent? Fame? Honesty? Money? Likeableness? Integrity? Love for the fans? Showmanship? What would you choose and who?

Personally I would go for Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young, Peter Gabriel and Van Morrison.....

Going for coolest, John Lennon... Being pragmatic, he's dead and my favorites that aren't are old.
So I'd like to be somebody young, good looking, grounded and in the money, who makes music I like.

Didn't even have to think about it: Earl Slick.

I saw him a couple days ago on the Celebrating Bowie tour and he just has this perfect balance of glam strut with a little more angular approach to his solos.

Dan Lanois or T-Bone Burnett. Well respected, well paid and without the trappings of fame.

I would stay me, but add Doc Severinsen's trumpet chops and Pete Christlieb's tenor sax chops. Maybe add Bill Revelli's rehearsal chops.

I'd be James Taylor just because he's talented and I wish I had that kind of musical talent.

Well, nobody that is dead. If I could sing like Steve Perry that would be great.

For some odd reason, Richie Furay, because I'd be in an incredibly talented band with two amazing songwriters as fellow bandmembers, and I'd have a great voice and some songwriting talent of my own to boot.

Thus, some talent, some fame, plus a good deal of honesty, integrity, and likeableness. Not much money though! I get the impression he hasn't changed all that much since then and is basically the same down to earth, upbeat guy he's always been.

Hah! I'll take Tony Bennett. Great singer, great attitude and still doing what he loves at a very late stage in life....
