To qualify - Just based on a perceived similarity of Dream Wife's singer's singing style to Mark. E. Smith's. I have not listened to The Fall enough to really make a comparison between the bands.

Not once has that ever worked out for me. I used to read reviews like, "The Trust Fund Kids are a mixture of Catty McCatfish and Hugo and the Ubergodz, and if you like TFK, you'll love those bands," and I'd go buy Catty McCatfish and Hugo CDs, and invariably they would suck.
