Isn't it on the Thank You for the Music boxset also?
I don't have it in front of me. Is this a bad version?

I believe that is a combine of the German and Swedish versions.

    Songtext:

    Wah-wah-wah-wah Waterloo
Du är mitt öde, mitt Waterloo

Det är som jag hörde en sång
Jag tror det är kärlek på gång

On my vinyl album from 1974 was a swedish version of "Waterloo" too, Havent heard the vinyl in some 20 years, so cant remember if it sounds better than the CD.

BTW: Newsflash: Agnetha Fältskog is planning a solo album this year (she was the blonde one :) )

    Got it!

    Hi Steve!

I’m playing it right now just to be sure it was the one you were asking about.
LP Abba, Waterloo. POLS 252. Waterloo is the first one on A-1 sung Swedish and the last one on the B-side is the same song in English.
Is it rare or something? Must be many copies lying somewhere in Scandinavia.

    Steve,

I know this thread is about two months old, but no one really answered your question, here goes....

The Swedish version of "Waterloo" is available on a CD compilation caled "Pa Svenska - Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny, & Anni-frid" on the Polar label.....The sound is less hars than the version of the most recent "Waterloo" remaster.

"PA Sevnska" is a compilation of ABBA's Swedish recordings, which is really just a handful, but is augmented with tracks from B&B, Agnetha & Frida's solo LPs - some of which were recorded concurrently during their time with ABBA.

The CD includes the Swedish versions of "Honey, Honey" , "Ring Ring", SOS (orignally an Agnetha solo single - same backing track as ABBA's) & "Fernando (orig. a solo for Frida - same backing track as the ABBA version). There are other tracks from 1970-1975 from their solo albums. The CD is worth it alone for the Frida & Agnetha solo tracks!!

I have seen the CD (TWO copies!) as recently as last weekend at Tower Records on Sunset Blvd., in West Hollywood in the ABBA section.

Here is a picture of the cover:
