If Daffy went to Hollywood, so did Frankie. Maybe a Sinatra box set or something. Bit of a stretch. :D

It's probably a stretch on my part, but I am of the (possible) mind that Steve has gotten permission to work on something that he previously used to tell us was not possible because it was considered a company sacred cow or that the artist or band only allowed their own people to touch.

I don't see it your way at all. Respectfully. Again, a thread was created in a fun manner to create curiosity, invite speculation..... by our host no less! If that is problematic for you (the general 'you') and you don't wanna be bothered sifting through the responses/guesses, then this thread isn't for you. Don't click on it. You'll find out what Steve's project is through other means. Whatever the end-result is of this project, it won't be available exclusively to people in this thread.

Right after I made the decision not to spend any more money on Die Käfer.

Take my money. If SACD take my soul too.

We need more clues for sure but i have a feeling it will be a compilation of some sort.

Could it be related to the thread @Steve Hoffman started a while ago were he wanted us to pick songs for a comp?

If the image in Mr. Hoffman's post is not a clue, I shall hope for The Cowsills' "Complete Singles Collection", which is not easy to put together on vinyl.

I hope you're not re-working The Beatles' Abbey Road cd because I can tell you right now, they're NOT gonna love it!

I’d like to say that I prefer my original British pressing to whatever it is Steve is working on, but am willing to wait to hear what it is, and possibly hear the result, before I start saying how superior my Japanes pressing is.

You sound like Andy Partridge, at the end of that Monkees podcast he did:
"I can't tell you, but, you'll be happy next year!"

Gut instinct tells me something Beatles related and I hope I'm right. He's already had McCartney in the fold so the possibility exists. I really hope I'm right about this one as we need some digital versions that sound as good as the MFSL Vinyl... with Magical Mystery Tour being the exception of course. The Abbey Road withdrawn original black triangle Japan CD release will never be bettered so he can skip that one.

I don't have the presence of mind to just let it be and not run with the pack when it comes to the endless anticipation that does burn like an inner mounting flame. I just hope that the announcement will prompt a celebration day that would make any third world man feel such satisfaction that he would spread his joy to the world. Straight up, no matter what, I'm sure our host will do it again and make a strange brew taste like sweet wine. After all, he and Kevin are the cream of the crop who give no quarter. When it comes to delivering the goods, our host will bring it on home, and you and I will revel in the beautiful noise--a cornucopia of sound. All previous versions will be outshined, and we will be sent forth on a supernaut trip that will have us reeling in the years. Indeed, we will twist and shout as dancing days will commence across the universe. Not just another day in the life on the third stone from the sun.
