Earl Scruggs' band featured his sons.

Merle Haggard's grandson played guitar in his band the last time I saw him.

On that same stage was Kris Kristofferson, whose daughter sang a song with him last time I saw him.

Steve Winwood's daughter did that, too, when I saw him (she opened).

And George Clinton's granddaughter came up and rapped the first couple times I saw him.

When I saw her last year, her daughter Jeordie opened, and then was part of her band as well.

Something about multi-generational bands kind of give me the creeps.

Probably because I lived through "The Partridge Family" craze. Yikes!

Another country one just came to mind...

Bobby Wright, a singer with hits in his own, er, right, toured for many years with his parents Johnnie Wright (of Johnny and Jack) and Kitty Wells.

I know that Michael Anthony's magic cannot be replicated, but I thought Wolfie did a great job on bass when I saw VH! Although that is not shocking at all considering who his dad/guitar teacher is lol

This thread title sounds like a message in a bottle thrown off a carnival cruise ship.

That's officially the best comment I've seen on this forum, ever. Well done.

you're very kind. must be worth a bump for my A material. if I could recall the title. bingo.

I just heard about this one:

i guess many of this generation of rockers kids would be in this category, if the parent survived.

Unit 3 with Venus (infamous for that unforgettable New Wave ditty, Scott Baio), featured Venus DeBaun and her parents, Henree Herd (keyboards) and Patty Bondage (bass):

  20. Different incarnation of the band entirely. Ashley stopped performing under 'The Albion Band' name many years ago, other than for an 'Albion Band Christmas Show' each year.

Presumably, Ashley owns the rights to the name and allowed Blair to put together a band and tour under that name. They were pretty good but musically not entirely familiar to fans of the initial band(s).

I think it was more a case of adopting an approach to the music making rather than s specific style.

    Best Wishes,
    David

Randy California's stepfather Ed Cassidy played drums in Spirit.

Kate Bush's son appeared live with her.
