Todd Rundgren might be a good one for them to do. I'd sure buy it.

Good point! I think they did the Public Image Ltd albums as well, though?

I asked on Twitter if we'll ever get a guide dedicated to ELO, but the reply was probably not, because they were rarely interviewed by Melody Maker or NME back in the day.

    Steely Dan ?
    NME loved them.

If you do all the posthumous albums, and a separate section on the live albums released since his death, you will have a nice sized issue

That makes sense- to spread it out like that. it's just frustrating that we don't have issues covering such major stars....I mean, it took them YEARS to get to Dylan

    That's GREAT news!
For me the Uncut-guides come at a great moment when the ''regular'' magazines seem to recycle the same stories. Led Zep's hedonism, the final Years Of The Beatles, Pink Floyd's troubled last five years, the best 50 drummers/Dylan Songs/songwriters, etc., etc..
So far the guides are great for to dive into lesser-known part of their discographies; The Beach Boys made some very nice music in the mid-'70s!

I'd hoped Beach Boys were worthy of one of the 148-page editions (as opposed to the 124 they got). Didn't care for the editorial decision to treat the 1962-1964 albums as half-pints, and if Uncut could dedicate sub-features to Byrdmembers' extracurriculars, why couldn't they have done so with all the flotsam 'n' jetsam in the BB pool? Empty the tank, guys - it's now or never, and an extra $2 isn't gonna dissuade the target audience from buying (I'd yap about some of the star ratings [three for We Three Kings Of Orient Are?] but they're the pub's prerogative.)

But I really quite like this series. Reading upthread of Van Morrison makes me happy, because I don't know his canon nearly as well as I'd like, and I'm glad Uncut's throwing curveballs with their artist coverage. Long may they run. I buy two thirds of these, and I could probably buy more.

A Van Morrison guide is fantastic news. Essential purchase for me as I have the classic albums and have read about the others but haven't really gotten around to diving in and purchasing. That whole 1970-74 period is enough for me to enjoy, a "best of" covers the best of the rest.............for now. Eventually I want to buy the other good ones so a good review/write-up will be welcomed by me.

Elton John, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Deep Purple, The Stranglers. There's loads they could still do.

But with some of the acts the interest will be less so perhaps they need to look at the price tag.

Imagine if they cover The Fall, man, that magazine would be many, many pages to cover their albums, don't even think about the compilations.

Just picked up the Beach Boys one. I don't buy many of these, but I'd pay the extra few bucks for a 148 page edition.

For those who use the Uncut app on their tablet, if you subscribe for $20/year, do they include the special editions like the ultimate music guides, or is it regular issues only?

I dug out Uncut's Bowie £7.99 issue 7. 179 pages absolute bargain. Only goes up to Reality.

Another I unearthed no doubt reading this thread ( forgot I had ) is MoJo classic ZAPPA ... blurb says 94 albums reviewed £5.99.
