  2. Amazing actor - he played everything from Truman Capote and a pedophile priest to the tough-as-nails CIA agent in Charlie Wilson's War. And made them all believable.

Even when he played a mob thug, he was a likable one. I've enjoyed a lot of his work. My favorite role of his was the congressman he played in "Charlie Wilson's War". But no way would I consider him a chameleon.

The two that come to mind for me are the already mentioned Daniel Day Lewis and Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

Daniel Day Lewis, DeNiro used to be. And, Tom Cruise is in no way a chameleon. He is Tom Cruise in every movie he is in.

Hopkins was. But now it just seems he’s some variation of the Hannibal Lecter personality.

To be fair, he’s great at being Christopher Walken, but you’re right.

Adam Sandler. The fact that he could make you life and cry, all in the same movie is incredible.

He’s certainly made me cry in multiple movies but not because of his acting chops. More so that paid money to watch him mail it in.

Denzel is close. Check out Roman J Isreal, Esquire. That to Training Day is night and day.

Where does Matt Damon fit in? I thought he was pretty great in the Martian and Good Will Hunting and Dogma.

Same could be said for Deniro, Nicholson, and Pacino.
