I thought I'd do well on this challenge - but I only got 14!

And that's assuming I'm correct on those 14!

    Bradley: I'd say:

    "Take Five"--Dave Brubeck
    "A Rocky Mountain Christmas"--John Denver
    "Summertime Dream"--Gordon Lightfoot

    How'd I do?

You were close on the Dave Brubeck. The album is actually Time Out, but Take Five is accepted and you will get 3 more

3 more, 2 of them being from the same artist (one of my favorite female vocalists)

Well, the black & white cover is "The Collection" by Amy Grant, so the other one must be Amy too, but I don't know which album.

  13. BradOlson

    BradOlson Country/Christian Music Maven

Yep, it's Jimmy Dean and I won't give you any hints on the album title.

  14. BradOlson

    BradOlson Country/Christian Music Maven

Right, it is "The Collection" by Amy Grant, the other being her first platinum album ever due to the popularity of "El Shaddai" (the song which has lyrics in the chorus that make the album title) and "Sing Your Praise To The Lord." The notes in parentheses being the biggest hint I can give you (going to amygrant.com, the online music stores, etc. will only be cheating).

I only got 16 of 'em. About 10 more I recognized the artist, but couldn't nail down the exact title. Great thread, fun "test" to take.

Now that I think about it, I suppose I only knew the covers I actually owned!

Wow...I got seven positively, two more I own but can't think of the title, and four more I recognize the artist on but don't know the titles.

This is cool! Sounds like something we should do here with our own collections. :D

As a matter of fact, mentioning "Big John" is close enough as the album is "Big Bad John and Other Fabulous Songs and Tales."

Any guesses on the solid black one? I own one by a major artist that's black...w/o giving it completely away, it was a bootleg for a few years until the label finally released it.
