Guitarist Mike Gotthard and the white-hot fusion drummer of the moment; the great Gergo Borlai (featured on one of the great Fusion records of this century, Gary Willis - Larger Than Life, you oughtta check it out, it's extraordinary!)

Just got back from seeing Jimmy Herring and the Invisible Whip. Jimmy can rip it it up with the best of them. Tight band with Jeff Sipe on drums. The music is jam/fusion. They're touring now. Highly recommended.

Not in the same electric rock vein as the OP, but one must-have:
Chester and Lester (Chet Atkins and Les Paul) - one of my all-time favorites, instrumental or not

    And the others:
    The Hellecasters

    Wes Montgomery
    Kenny Burrell
Julian Lage (newer jazz but an incredible talent)

The first and only album by Ra Can Row - vinyl is expensive, never made it to CD that I can see, but I'm going to link the full album from YT and you'll know by the end of the first song if it's for you

Thanks. Jimmy is great and so is Sipe. Love ARU and the Jeff Sipe Trio, too.

I was familiar with the eighteen minute version on the Songs of Yesterday Anthology, but totally unaware The Complete Jam version existed (or the deluxe version). It doesn't get any better than this except for maybe Tuesday Morning.

Too bad side two wasn't dedicated to just Time Away. Would have been interesting to have done what Miles did with In a Silient Way--one song each side.

Now I have to check out the other versions of Tuseday Morning.

My introduction to Bill Frisell was "Gone Just Like A Train". This has got almost a rock instrumental album feel to it because he is backed up by Jim Keltner on drums and Viktor Krauss on bass. It's been through Frisell that I stepped into jazz.

I was lucky enough to find a copy for $16 about three or four years ago... this needs to come back into print! I'd love an LP version, too...

That's a good record. Starting with Nashville, Frisell made the Americana that was always present in his sound more overt. His music has generally been the better for it.

That's a good one too. Personally I think Frisell "rocked" if you will more in the 80's. Molde is hard to find but I think you would like it. It's great Frisell playing. Have you checked out Unspeakable. Great playing by Bill on it. I can't find the full album anywhere, but here is a track.
