I am pleased to present vinylreviews.com, an amazing new website I started dedicated to vinyl reviews of great music and analog culture. Visit the site and be sure to bookmark it! We add new vinyl reviews every weekday and regularly post vinyl news, industry videos, deals on reviewed titles, and upcoming releases. and a lot more! We've got terrific writers, and users get to join the fun and provide their own ratings. I think you'll really love it, and look forward to feedback. Thanks!

For what it’s worth, it might be helpful in the Dylan - Bringing It All Back Home review if the reviewer specified the mono or stereo pressing.

Thanks! A pleasant addition to my music reading!

Here’s what I like: these are reviews that give the reviewer’s general impression, and discusses the sound quality of the pressing reviewed. Along with the numerical scores in various listening categories, it makes for an informed read!

We are going to have floating attributes that will address this in the future. We don't do a lot of mono, so we're doing a field that will only appear when the answer is positive. Thanks!

I applaud what you're doing in providing another voice for music lovers.
Captain Obvious knows that your format of preference is vinyl.
I well understand the desire to have a focused site. I work in the field of creating & promoting specialized sites in the Corporate\B2B\Customer world.
Any chance of including a section\forum for digital?
It is after all, all about the music, right?

Understood it's your vision but there seems to be a nice vibe between the SACD & Vinyl adherents in the IR thread here.
I promise I'll be nice. It would be great to have place to share in what I think would\could be a congenial place.

I read a number of reviews of the album reissues that I have (Blue, Astral Weeks, Moondance, among others). The reviews are very worthwhile and I like how the reviewer compares the new reissue with previous audiophile reissues as well as original pressings of the albums being reviewed.

This is a welcome new web site!

Feedback-Some of the star ratings are very hard to read. I think moving them to the white area between the album artwork and the text might make it easier to read.

    ...Vamos!

the website is a brilliant idea..i have not had the chance to dig in extensively yet but is there a feature or
a notation of AAA vinyl? A definitive resource for that would be a godsend. I do not purchase digitally sourced
reissues under any circumstances. And your label does not produce them, thankfully.

If it is AAA it will say 100% Analog among the attributes. We made that a floating attribute- most LPs you just don't know and the labels don't say and we don't want that many that say 100% Analog: No. but when it's AAA it says so. My label does do digital sources if that is the master format- Joe Jackson's Summer in the City was a high-res digital recording and that was the master source and we used the original DATs. My site and the stickers on the LPs will ALWAYS tell you what the source was.

Ok that is awesome...very happy to hear that..

When I said digitally sourced, I meant tape to digital, then vinyl cutting. If there is no analog master, which the case with a lot of releases,
that is fine with me. Just to clarify.

For instance, see this report on Analog Planet..expensive box cut from digital files...
