Strange that there won't be a physical release of the DVD/BD. It will be download only.

Also, Hallowed Be Thy Name is not apart of the set, I am guessing because of the lawsuit.

Wow - between this purchase and the Bruce vinyl solo boxset, I may need to start mowing lawns to raise some extra cash!

Yeah - it does seem that the video will be available for download only after it's online premier. That is indeed odd. Also, if I read correctly the vinyl comes with a high rez download? Hope I read that correctly.

"Hallowed" wasn't played on this tour at all due to the lawsuit etc.

And a release that picks songs from different locations is exactly why they should have done even a mild amount of set list mixing. More and different songs to make a live album like this more special and interesting.

 

Hell yes I'm in for this, and Children of The Damned was taken from the Montreal show! I was there! I'm going to be on a Maiden album!!!!

It's cool because I remember thinking wow, that was a great version of that song when they were done.

 

Iron Maiden will release their umpteenth live album on Nov 17th, taped at various locations on the Book Of Souls tour...

Hallowed was played at the beginning of the tour, but was replaced with Wrathchild when the lawsuit began.

 

live albums - quick cash in. i will not buy ny more live albums.

so sick the live stuff as add ons, extra tracks. unless its a uber scarce song, give me b sides, or demo's which actually sound good. not the trash can/ sound.

YAY!!! Sooner than I expected too. No North American Dates on the recordings which is too bad, but same set list. Very exciting.

 

Hallowed By Thy Name lawsuit? I had no idea Adrian had decided to go ahead and sue Janick for what Janick has been doing to that guitar solo since the reunion. I approve!

Yeah, they played it on the first leg so there should be plenty of versions to choose from. Maybe we'll get lucky and it'll come up as a B-side? Yeah, wishful thinking. It would make more sense to tack it on the album.

Have they ever done a Japanese bonus track? I don't remember ever seeing one.

A blu-ray is the only format I'd pay for. Don't need another live Maiden CD when it won't even be mastered well. Certainly don't want live vinyl for the same reason. PAY for a video download? No way.

I am glad they are releasing the CD in a book style package like the deluxe Book Of Souls cd.

That kinda ticks me off. In addition to my vinyl and cd collection, I also collectIron Maiden's DVD's and Blu Rays and have been waiting for this release for a while and now it will not be available in a physical format? WTF?!

 

Yeah normally I buy the DVD and rip the audio for portable listening for the live releases. Guess they really want you to buy it twice if you want video and audio. It could be that they announce a DVD after the live stream though, despite what the press blurb says.

 

Hope it gets to Spotify. Will buy the vinyl too in time, but first I gotta buy a vinyl copy of The Book Of Souls.

 

I sure hope so. A deluxe book with the cd's and the blu ray would have been nice.
