I can't decide which I like better - the name or the tunes

Only Liam would think "Beady Eye" would be a good name for a band.

That said, I like the cut of Liam's jib. He's either completely surreal or utterly moronic - at his best, he's both.

Yes, in the record store racks: Beady Eye / Beastie Boys / The Beatles.

And I'm going to see them tonight again! (The first group that is).

I hate the fact that they release a record which has the best cuts released only in the Japanese or Euro markers. See BE, for instance

It's not really a good band for a name. Noel Gallagher had all the talent in Oasis.

They are actually a running joke among me and a friend of mine. If something is really bad, we sarcastically say "they're no Beady Eye" We were both huge Oasis fans

I've never heard this band, but Beady Eye is a pretty cool name.

Yep. Intriguing enough to get attention and inspire curiousity, exactly what a band wants.

I didn't like it when it was first announced but with the benefit of four years and two great albums to get used to it, now I think it's a pretty great name.

  22. Basically they came up with a name that was to guarantee they would end up next to the Beatles in record stores. It's a pretty lame name, though Noel didn't come up with anything much better for his solo project. How you go from Oasis, one of the cooler names in Rock history, to these names are beyond me.

It's not the worst band name out there, that's for sure..

But with that being said I don't like it.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds sounds a heck of a lot better. It's also a fitting name for basically a backup band. I dig it.
