Is this the bass guitar track from the 5.1 mix of Jethro Tull's "A Passion Play"?

Youtube guy (or gal) says he (she) covered it.

If I was on Youtube and took the trouble of learning a part like that, I'd have filmed myself... Plus I'd have the playback speed set realistically...

So it looks fishy to me, but I don't have that mix to check it out...

The tone doesn’t sound anything like the original. I think it’s just a cover.

I thought perhaps that it came out differently on the multitracks, then by tweaking the EQ some...

It's a really good cover, though likely learned/played in the low gears.

Thick at #1 is also a surprise, but that had a catchier/quirky title tune and wacky tour to boot. And great lyrics like "Your sperm's in the gutter, your love's in the sink" Passion to me is a bigger shock because none of that material seemed to popular. I guess it's time to listen again!

I get that. Thick As A Brick has some great poppy moments.
Jethro Tull was at their peak of popularity around the time A Passion Play was released. Almost a guaranteed number one.

Reminds me of when Blood Sweat & Tears 3 came out and hit #1. The album before it was so popular, the new one had to sell well.

The difference is, BST3 sucked, and Passion Play is great!! But very uncommercial!
