I've never encountered a woman who could stand The Three Stooges.

My wife loved High Country and Big Red One. She'll never see Raging Bull as I don't want to ever see it again.

Slapstick isn't popular with women. Showed The Naked Gun to a friend of mine and his wife asked my wife if she'd rather just talk instead after 2 minutes of it.

Once the movie was over, I talked to her about it, and, being of a significantly different cultural background, she plainly said "I didn't know when to laugh", a comment my own wife likes to bring up.

Unusual for Big Red One.I could see the High Country approval.

I'm with you I don't even care for Scorcese anymore at all.

He has become such a pompous a_ _ IMO.

Once is enough on everything post Taxi Driver for me.

@The Panda is correct. Road House is like the anti-Pretty Woman or any-movie-with-JLo. 99.8% of women hate it.

Why do you say that? Not sure why Rambo seems like someone who'd go for that look well after he's out of the military.

Anyway, Rambo needed to look "shaggy" for dramatic purposes. He gets treated poorly as a "drifter" - if he'd looked clean-cut, he probably wouldn't have been hassled so much and there wouldn't have been a movie! :)

I highly recommend field work. That said, it's purely anecdotal.

I was going to post something about The Three Stooges, except it was my mom that introduced me to them.

There are women in the movie, but I have yet to meet any women who have ever seen the movie all the way through.

Probably "Irreversible" - I had a hard time watching it, and the scene in the middle of the film that drives it is just brutal. I would never suggest that my wife watch it, though she digs Westerns, War movies, and loved John Woo's The Killer. (Cartoon level of violence it was so over the top).
Probably for the same reason, "I Spit on Your Grave" and "Last House on the Left."

You can remedy that by hanging out at the next Beach Boys gig in your neck of the woods.
