"It's a Wonderful Life": The Most terrifying movie ever made?

    Kind of an interesting take, and worth reading even if his title was a gross exaggeration. Where he missed the mark is that Pottersville isn't meant to be reality outside of George Bailey's consciousness, but what reality will be if man succumbs to the darker impulses of his nature (i.e. greed, licentiousness, betrayal, etc.). Contrary to what Rich Cohen believes, America didn't have a strip club on every corner in the 1940s. The mise-en-scene of Pottersville was intended as a prediction of a future in which men like Mr. Potter not only thrive, but are considered the norm, regardless of social or economic standing.

  4. I think Oklahoma is one of the most terrifying movies ever made that's not considered a horror flick.
