I know it’s been posted but.. Peter Gabriel, Peter Gabriel, Peter Gabriel.
He takes so long that I almost don’t care anymore.

Talk Talk/Mark Hollis - as soneone else posted I doubt it will ever happen either. I don’t think it will.
I’ll be very shocked if it does.

    Kate Bush

I would’ve said Roxy Music, Simon & Garfunkel and The Smiths but they have a good legacy. A great catalogue of albums.
I would leave them as is.

    Van Halan with Sammy Hagar
    Tears For Fears
Led Zeppelin with Jason Bonham. They are meant to be celebrating their 50th anniversary .
    Pete Townsend
The Faces- it's been muted numerous times that Rod and Ronnie are open to the idea. Rod needs to make another rock album and steer away from that 'songbook' stuff

Would also consider Peter Gabriel but judging on past releases his creative 'well' is dry! A collaboration with Banks or Hackett is maybe the impetus he needs?

I think it will never happen with those guys... PG is on a whole another musical landscape by now, but I'd love to see him collaborating with Hackett again.

  19. From people we at least have some realistic hope of getting something new-Tom Waits,Elvis Costello,Gillian Welch,Kathleen Edwards,Pearl Jam(at least we know the last one is coming)
People who may well be done with new albums of original material but at least we can hope-Bob Dylan,Bruce Springsteen
People who will almost certainly not release any more new original music but we can fantasise-Pete Townshend,Peter Gabriel

    Peter Murphy

Four years simce his last one, Lion, an OK but rather generic industrial goth by numbers collaboration with Youth which sounds too relentlessly like Nine Inch Nail or post-1993 Gary Numan, albeit with Murphy’s unique voice.

Peter’s post-Bauhaus pinnacle was when he went totally sideways, witn the 2002 masterpiece Dust. Another Dust would be pointless, but another sideways move, with some surrounding subtelty to allow his (still great at 60-years old) voice to breathe, instead of overwhelming electronic thumping.

I think Townshend's done. Which is cool - he tried his hand at a new Who album, even if it was a rocky road to navigate. Can't imagine he wants to do much more touring. There's more than enough to go back to.

Don’t bother. Their entire back catalogue is brickwalled.
