In 1921 he sees his father killed, at which time he's, what; 6 or 7 years old. So, what age is he supposed to be by the end of the album? He's got to be young enough for Sally Simpson to want him, pinball is popular and the acolytes sure seem to be living in the late- (or at least mid-) 1960s. Anybody else think the whole album would have made a lot more sense if they just hadn't locked down any date at all? Did Pete ever explain the logic behind '1921'?
