Same here. It makes for a nice sister album to John McLaughlin's Extrapolation.

Just woke up to see this and very sad. Cream was one of the first rock shows I saw as a kid. Unforgettable.

I meant to write Gibson EB-3 of course, I think I had tears in my eyes when I wrote that...

On a happy note the last time I saw Jack live was with West Bruce & Laing in 1972 at the Hollywood Palladium. Leslie West announced Jack as the best bass player in the world then Jack did a amazing solo. I can still picture that moment in my mind special.

Loved him for his work in Cream but there is so much more of his legacy. RIP

I saw Jack with Ringo in May 1997 and May 2000.
After seeing the '97 show I became a big Cream fan.

I had no idea that he was sick. Not only was his work in Cream iconic, I really enjoyed his work with Robin Trower. Sad news indeed.

What a bummer. An absolute great who made solo albums just as great as Cream's records. Best musician of that trio by a long shot. Saw him a couple years ago in Toronto and he was still fantastic. RIP Jack.

This is sad news, especially on the day when an ailing, elderly friend of mine passed away, this morning at 3 am.
He was impressive up to his last gigs.

As I grew up and fell in love with music and especially heavy rock as a teenager the link for me was that Jack Bruce lived in an area Bishopbriggs just next to where I grew up, in a rougher housing estate but it seemed important to me that somebody local was a great. I walked by his childhood home many times as a teenager in the 1970's.

As I started to broaden and explore music I bought Cream and his solo records and found out more about Jack Bruce the musician and it strikes me that Jack Bruce did "rock" music a great favour by choosing that route and not one of several others his talent could have taken him down.

I've just finished work and that was in area, a very small area of a few streets that Jack lived in when he and his family returned from Canada........I thought about him as I passed through that area only a few minutes ago.

RIP Jack Bruce you were unique.
