Their theory was that he isn’t Bond until the end, but it works against the movie too.

Noel Gallagher's written a Bond tune, would like to believe it would be good though Radiohead or Coldplay more than likely would do a better job for the theme song. Robbie Williams got close with Millennium, but it did sound a wee bit familiar. :D

I think David Niven is much more enjoyable than Sellars.

Underrated, a matter of life and Bond.

Um, you do know Radiohead literally wrote a Bond theme for Spectre. For real. It was rejected in favour of some minor talent who no one will remember in ten years time. Who turns down Radiohead?

The same people who paid the lame duo (aka Purvis and Wade) for years to tarnish the Bond legacy

Interesting, but that song didn't really grab me either. It was quite depressing and not melodic.

Something tells me Danny Boyle's Bond is going to be brillant, and a good theme tune to boot..don't see this canny filmmaker doing anything stoopid. Delayed another year now, summer 2020.

I often thought Lewis Collins might have made a good Bond. I wonder what anyone else thinks...?

Sex Pistols guitar shooter must have liked Collins tv series as he named his band The Professionals. :)

I wonder if the delay will allow Waltz and Fiennes to reprise their roles as they were not available for the initial filming schedule.

Reason for the delay I believe he's doing a musical film with Richard Curtis which is out 2019. Waltx & Fiennes dunno, hopefully not the overrated Waltz.

This is Cubby Broccoli's personal Rolex 6538 "Big Crown" Submariner. Rolex wouldn't provide a watch for the film, and the budget was too tight to buy a luxe watch for the production. It's a rare early model, with a silver triangle rather than red surrounding the bezel pearl, and no minute marks on the first 15 minutes of the bezel either. The lettering and chapter ring on the dial are rendered via an expensive and complicated process called "negative relief": what you see is the metal of the dial blank showing through the black ink.

A much-discussed aspect of the Goldfinger Rolex is the strap. It's obviously too narrow for the watch: 16mm wide whereas the watch lugs are 20mm apart. This discrepancy has never been explained, and there is no practical reason for wearing a too-narrow strap. For years before the Lowry Blu-Ray restoration, it was thought the stripes were black and grey. In fact, they are navy blue, olive green, and red: British Naval colors befitting Commander Bond. The strap style is not a "NATO", a name which has nothing to do with the military alliance and was not used for military requisitions until the late 1960s. The proper style name is RAF, and it has a "self" keeper rather than the metal keepers of a NATO.
