    Yipee! Just saw that listed.

Anyone know a release date and is it an SACD?

    Thanks.

It's in the new catalog but no indication if vinyl only or vinyl + SACD. Was wondering about details too.

  5. I think I assumed that if it didn't have either listed it would be both.

I'd be much more thrilled if it had been an Audio Fidelity project, still glad it is getting the attention and good treatment this way.

They specified both for Layla and Breakfast in America but not Richard Thompson - Rumour and Sigh, the James Gang, Procol Harum - A Salty Dog and Get The Knack did not include format details. We shall see.

  9. I'd love to see Rumour and Sigh on SACD but I get the feeling that ain't gonna happen for IMHO simply because he's a cult artist. I could be wrong. Interesting poin t that you make there--it may not say because all of the titles you mentioned are from artist that are really cult artists now for the most part.

At the time of printing they were probably undecided or still in negotiations with the parent label.

All they refer to is "these painstakingly restored pressings". SACD please. If it's only warpy, crackly, off-center-y vinyl again, kill me please. Also, which version? I assume the "Bolero" version. It may never even see the light of day.

I have it on vinyl in decent condition but given my recent sacd buys (Cobham's Spectrum, So What? and The Jeff Beck Group), I am extremely excited about the possibilities. This is great news!

This is a great album. It really shows what a creative and ambitious artist Joe was in his early career. I love Jack Nietzsche's string arrangement on Ashes, the Rain and I.

Got a Holiday Specials catalog from Music Direct. On the back, it has pictures of Bill Evans - Sunday at the Village Vanguard, Big Brother and the Holding Company - Cheap Thrills, Bill Withers' Greatest Hits, Bob Dylan - Nashville Skyline, Miles Davis - E.S.P. The Bill Evans is listed as "COMING SOON." All of the others are Vinyl and SACD, if not mistaken. Does anybody know for sure if this release is confirmed for SACD?

^^^Boy, is SpinCDs a fountain of misinformation. Always check Musicdirect.com for any accurate MFSL info. We'll see...

It's great to think that a section of the Uni vaults did not go up in ashes. Still much a mystery.

This is a cool title and over-due for high-res treatment.

Yep, there are a growing number of sites that report these supposed Mofi release dates. What orifice do they pull these dates from?

Weird. I know my CD copy was won here, a prize for something I can't remember, from @Louis , yet that thread seems to have disappeared.

MFSL has sure been on a roll lately.
