I saw Cold Fish tonight. It was an incredibly disturbing but gripping film at the same time. It makes Tarantino look tame by comparison.

Probably mentioned it before but as it's pretty much my favorite film of all time I'll mention it again: Swallowtail Butterfly by Shunji Iwai is amazing!
What ever Japanese movie you get make sure it is dubbed! Or else you will waste a lot of time reading subtitles and get a migrane!
It's still enjoyable if you haven't seen the anime adaptation, but Death Note is a very entertaining movie.
