I bought it from MD at a record fair - obviously a return. Will have to clean but not optimistic. Music magical, of course.

Though the classic trio with LaFaro was to come, I always enjoy this earlier set with the Joneses.

People who say good jazz died in the 60s never tried a title from the Arista/Freedom label.

I've always had problems with this one, but I keep trying :): John Coltrane - Live at the Village Vanguard Again! - impulse! MVCI-23018 (Japan; 1991). A 1966 live date with John Coltrane (tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone, bass clarinet), Pharoah Sanders (tenor saxophone, flute), Alice Coltrane (piano), Jimmy Garrison (bass), Rashied Ali (drums) and Emanuel Rahim (percussion).

List of my problems with this album: Pharoah Sanders sounds like a vacuum cleaner (hoover for the Brits ;)) at times and Alice Coltrane doesn't seem to know what she's doing...
