Speaking of PF Sloan, has Jennifer Warnes 1976 Self Titled album on WB ever been released on CD?

Thank you however that is not her 1976 WB self titled album. That is her 1972 first name only album. Here is the one I am talking about:

I was wrong though it is not on WB, but Arista. I have all her albums on CD except this one. I even have the two on Parrot.

Sorry -- when you said WB, I didn't even look at the year. I've never been able to find that on CD anywhere.

Yeah, it was a significant seller, I wonder why it was never issued on CD? Here first 3 albums were and are available on CD and they did not sell as well.

BGO Records will be issuing "Jennifer Warnes" with "Shot Through the Heart" in October.

Good to hear. Great song. I have always liked her voice.

Didn't Arista put out a Best of/Greatest Hits as her third LP for the label? I wonder if the tracks unique to that might be included on the upcoming BGO 2fer as bonus tracks...

I notice that the Amazon.uk listing for this reissue (October 7th) also claims that she has a new album coming out this year. I'll believe it when I see it. Next year seems more likely but, hey, miracles can happen.

I just looked at a Little Richard 3fer from BGO in a record store yesterday and it had the same quote.

No mention of the following tracks from her Arista "Best of" at the Amazon link:

    It Goes Like It Goes
    Could It Be Love
    Run To Her
    Come To Me

Would 25 tracks instead of 21 change the price class of the CD?

In the EU, no: Royalties are paid on the basis of the physical media, e.g. a single CD generates the same royalties regardless of the number of tracks on it.

In the US, royalties are paid on the basis of individual tracks. So in the US, more songs means higher cost.

But in either case, you'd need to get Arista (Sony) legal approval to include the masters. Which, depending on the original contracts, might be trivial or not.

Not talking about the song, using the song to differentiate the album "Jennifer Warnes" from the album "Jennifer" which has been already confused earlier in the thread.

If anyone is trying to be a Jennifer Warnes completest, I'll say that I have a 1988 3 song, 3-inch CD single from Cypress Records, in it's own gatefold cardboard sleeve. It has her Leonard Cohen song - First We Take Manhattan, along with the 2 '80s movie song duets she recorded - (I've Had) The Time Of My Life (w/ Bill Medley), and Up Where We Belong (w/Joe Cocker).

I believe this was relatively easy to locate in '88, so it should be "around" and available now.
